the fed's chicago president told the meeting in indianapolis that while we are seeing general signs of recovery, the economy itself is not yet out of the woods particularly the housing market. we could see up to 3 million foreclosures this year, possibly more than 1 million bank repos. and the housing market will weigh on the market even further. in just a few minutes from now, we get the july existing sales report from the national association of realtors not pretty. looking for a drop of around 25% or so from the month before that. looking at the market right now, got the dow lower by 113 points. starting to approach that 10,000 level again. nasdaq is down by 30, s&p off by 13. there is one local company that has seen its stock continue to rise that's fremont-based data storage company 3par, shares up 3.5% after hp came one a bigger bid than dell of yesterday of $1.5 billion and all reports point to that dell will come up with an even bigger bid than that this morning. that's why shareholders are jumping all over 3par. its shares have soared over the past week since dell first came u

a tragedy at the indianapolis motor speedway, a 13-year-old motorcycle racer was killed in an accident. the young boy was liter linse, he crashed during a warmup and then was hit by another rider. he was rushed to the hospital but died later from his injuries. no one else was hurt. track officials say the young man was the youngest racer killed at the track. >>> we want to check in with sal castanedo, keeping a close eye on this monday morning commute. >> all right. tori and dave. not a good going on when it comes to problems. there have been slowdowns already for this monday morning. westbound 24 driving up to the tunnel. you will see slow and go traffic here and there because the la fayette area and oakland. both on the orinda side and on the oakland side of the tuble. bay bridge is barked up for about a 10 minute to 15-minute delay. no major problems have been checking the tweets. haven't heard anything about b.a.r.t., caltrain or muni. fortunately, not a lot of angry people out there. northbound 101 approaching the 80 split in san francisco, that traffic is moving along okay. 7:25.
